Sip of Michigan 3

We want you to join us on Friday, July 13, 2012 at The Rattlesnake Club in Detroit for the biggest party of the summer! Sample beer, wine, AND liquor made right here in Michigan! We’ll also have fantastic food pairings courtesy of the amazing chefs at The Rattlesnake Club, and live band karaoke via Double Take! Not only will you be celebrating the best of Michigan, but you will also be helping out an amazing local charity. All ticket proceeds will be going to First Step of Wayne County.
The event will run from 8-12pm. Tickets are $50 per person, and include 35 drink tickets (1 ticket per 2oz. sample/3 tickets per full pour), heavy appetizers, and live entertainment. Buy tickets now! We will not be selling tickets at the door.
There will also be an after party at the Atwater Brewery, and a VIP (really freaking big deal) dinner hosted beforehand. Join us at both!
This year, we’ve partnered with First Step in Wayne County. The mission of First Step is to reduce the incidence of domestic and sexual violence and to provide services to individuals affected by these crimes. Prevention of domestic and sexual violence through education, advocacy and appropriate intervention is the ultimate goal of First Step. This is a cause that Audrey and I believe strongly in – they provide an invaluable service to women, children, and men in Wayne County who are trying to escape negative situations and create new lives.
More to come…

Verizon Wireless is partnering with Drink Michigan’s Sip of Michigan event to provide even more support to First Step of Wayne County. This partnership is a perfect match because First Step promotes the prevention of domestic violence, and so does Verizon’s HopeLine program. HopeLine puts the nation’s most reliable network to work in the community by turning no-longer used cell phones into support for domestic violence victims and survivors. Learn more about HopeLine.
Bring your no-longer used cell phones to Sip of Michigan, and for every phone donated, Verizon Wireless will donate $5 to First Step (up to $2,000). Everyone who donates a phone will also be entered to win a Mophie charging case for iPhone or Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation for Android.
Stop by the Verizon Wireless charging station at Sip of Michigan to fuel up your phones and check out some of the newest Verizon devices.
We would also like to thank the following sponsors: UAW-Ford, Jennifer Hartke, Cardamone Insruance Agency, Satterlund Supply Company, Hughes Associates, LLC, XFER Communications, Jacobsen Daniels Associates, David & Loren Treadwell, Marilyn Nix, Darryl Daniels and Brent Price, Roch and Martie McClain, Wendy and Edward Robinson, David and Joanne Taylor, Donna Addison, Rosemary Kautz, Heidi Naasko, Nayan Hajratwala.
